Book a thirty–minute scoping call with the studio.

A working conversation with the founders — not a sales demo, not a discovery gauntlet. We’ll walk through what you’re shipping, where the brand system or product UI needs to land first, and whether the next eleven weeks of MKKA bandwidth are a fit for the work.

Duration 30 minutes
Format Video call — founders only
Lead time Reply within one business day

Who the call is for

The other chair is held by the people who will do the work.

The call is with one of the two founders — not a project coordinator, not a sales development rep. We’ve kept the studio at fourteen people since 2017 because we don’t want to hand the first conversation to someone who won’t be in the Slack channel on day one. If we’re the right partner, you’ll know within the first ten minutes of the call; if we’re not, we’ll suggest two studios that are.

We only take on engagements we can ship inside the first twenty–one days of kickoff — a brand system, a motion language, or a first production surface you can put in front of users. Founders and product leaders at Series A–C SaaS and consumer tech are our primary clients. If that’s you, please book below.

  • Bring a one–pager or Notion brief — whatever shape your thinking currently lives in.
  • Have your eng lead on the call if the engagement is product UI.
  • You’ll leave with a written scope, a fixed fee, and a week–by–week plan.

Primary path

Book a scoping call.

Pick a window in the next two weeks. We’ll confirm by email within one business day and send a calendar invite with a short pre–call note — not a questionnaire.

We reply within one business day from a real human inbox. Your details stay between us and the two founders on the call.

Before you book

Practical prep, not a sales objection handler.

  1. 01 How fast will I hear back after I book?

Within one business day, from a real human inbox. If we can’t take the engagement — because of fit or because the studio is at capacity — we’ll say so on that same day and suggest two other studios better suited to the work. You’ll never get a generic holding email from us.

  2. 02 What should I have ready before the call?

A one–pager, a Notion doc, a Figma file, or a Loom — whatever shape your current thinking lives in. Three sentences and a screenshot is more useful to us than a polished forty–slide deck. If you don’t have anything written down yet, we can start the conversation from a blank page and you’ll still leave with a written scope.

  3. 03 What’s the format of the call itself?

Thirty minutes on video, founders only — no slide deck on our end, no demo unless you ask for one. The first ten minutes are about your context: what you’re shipping, by when, and what good looks like. The second ten are working: we sketch a scope on screen together. The final ten are practical: timeline, fee, and whether we’re the right team.

  4. 04 What happens after the call?

Within two business days you’ll receive a written scope & mdash; deliverables, week–by–week cadence, fixed fee, and a short list of references from similar engagements. If you want to proceed, we send a single engagement letter; we don’t ask you to negotiate a master services agreement. If it isn’t the right time, the scope is yours to keep and use however you like.
